Romans 4:20-21 He [Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
While facing a financial need in our lives, I began searching the Word of God to know what to do to meet the need. I needed thousands in a short period of time. I was brought up to believe that I had to make things happen. I thought everything had to start with me. If I worked hard enough, if I sold more product, if I talked to enough people or if I came up with a better plan, everything would be alright. However, I was now faced with the impossible. This led to worry and anxiety. God showed me worry comes from meditating on myself and my problems. I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Why are you not fully persuaded?” Immediately, I looked up Romans 4:21 where Abraham was fully persuaded that God was able to perform what He had promised. I began praising God knowing that He was able to meet all of our needs regardless of the circumstances.
I had a revelation that it’s God who does it, not me. God is faithful to keep His Word to us. That day I received a phone call from a business associate, three weeks later I deposited $38,000 in the bank. It was the Lord who had the plan and it was the Lord who carried out His plan for me.
Father God,
I thank you your promise to me is fully performed in my life. Amen.
