Romans 10:3-4 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Let’s take a moment to examine ignorance. The word of God declares that my people perish for lack of knowledge. We can see that not knowing can be a problem. Paul is making reference here to the nation of Israel. They were ignorant or did not know that God is righteous. Because of this they believed that they had to make themselves righteous enough for God to accept them.
Ignorance is one of our worst enemies. Not to know or not to understand is a result of ignorance. Ignorance is also not to perceive with our mind. Many of the mistakes we make are through ignorance which is lack of knowledge. We can fall into unbelief through ignorance. Paul said I received mercy from God because my unbelief was through ignorance.
God desires that we have knowledge through the Holy Spirit. Our prayer is that we receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, the word of God. So often we stay ignorant because we do not earnestly seek after the word of God.
Please make a decision today to not have any unbelief in your life because of ignorance. You see in 3 John 1:2 that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers. One of the main ways that our soul is to prosper is all ignorance is removed and defeated from our mind. It is the knowledge of the word of God that causes our soul to prosper.
So let’s agree today that we have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Father God and that the Holy Spirit is teaching us, guiding us and causing us to have full understanding of the knowledge of God.
