If you lack wisdom, just ask God!

Jam 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Jam 3:17 ..the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High

Psalm 91:1 says “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” What better place to live than in the secret place of the Most High. How do we dwell in the secret place? I remember thinking when I first read this, “Do I have to be good enough, holy enough?” I have read and confessed this entire psalm over and over, I must say it is one of my favorites. Then one day the Lord showed me the way to enter the secret place is right there in verse 2. Palsm 91:2 “I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

We enter in by faith when we say! Lord you are my fortress, you are my refuge, you are my hiding place. 2 Cor 3:13 quotes ‘according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.’ Because we believe God is our secret hiding place, we say it.

Mercy Triumps over Judgement

Jesus said, “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice… ” Matthew 9:13. Wow, what wisdom the Lord Jesus is sharing with us! Psalm 136 declares 26 times that God’s mercy endures forever. Mercy is compassion seeing one in distress, worry, fear, pain or discouragement, moving into action removing the cause of their grief and sorrows.” Mercy never judges, blames, finds fault or demands the consequences of sin upon those in distress. Mercy never condemns. Mercy never gives us what we deserve because we blew it or made a poor choice. Mercy gives what we have not earned. In learning the mercy of God, believe and receive the mercy God has for you.

All too often, instead of learning and receiving the wonderful mercy of God, we attempt to earn our freedom, healing or blessings from God by sacrificing. We tend to want to do something to earn God’s favor or acceptance. Then God will take care of our problem. The very best we have to offer will not be good enough. Instead let’s learn and understand the wisdom that our Lord Jesus shared when He said, “I desire mercy not sacrifice. Always remember the Lord Jesus was the only sacrifice that the Father required to remove the cause of all our grief, sorrows, sickness and disease. Always remember because of His great mercy Jesus bore our grief, sorrows, sickness and diseases on the cross in His body.  Begin to declare that the mercy of God endures forever. Declare it over any problem you may have. Then you will see God’s compassion manifest in your situation. You will see the cause removed. As you see God’s favor operating on your behalf continue to declare that it is the mercy of God that has set you free, not anything you have done.

Praise God for His mercy endures forever.
