Put the Kingdom of God First

Matt 6 31-33 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Many years ago, when Priscilla and I were called to Pennsylvania, I had decided to go there before our planned departure date in order to arrange for housing and other needs. After two days nothing was coming together. Inquiring of the Lord as to what was happening, He responded by asking me, “Did I tell you to go up early and do this? Now go back to Orlando and come as planned.” When we arrived, the Holy Spirit led me to where we should start. He instructed me to rent a meeting room for our first Sunday service. After making these arrangements, we rented a room to stay at the hotel.

Within two days all our needs were met. The Lord provided a house to rent, additional furniture, and food. We lacked for nothing. I was thrilled when I realized that the Holy Spirit led us to act upon the words of our Lord Jesus in Matthew 6:33. Allow me to encourage you to put first the Kingdom of God and all things will be added to you. Seek the King of the Kingdom as to how He has graced you to build the Kingdom of God and your life will be supernatural every day.

Blessings,

Brother John
