The Word is Near You

Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach)

When our sons, Joe and Dave, were 5 and 3 years old, they were attacked with Chickenpox. Priscilla and I immediately declared the Word over them, “By Jesus stripes they were healed and our Lord Jesus bore that sickness on the cross for them.”

Rom.10:8 says that the Word is near us. This means the Word of God is always ready to work for us, always ready to do what it says it can do for us.

The Word is not even as far away as our bible or some device; it is in our heart and in our mouth. Once we declared the Word of faith against the Chickenpox, a situation that was contrary to the Word of God, the Word released its power to perform God’s will in our life. Within minutes they were both completely healed.

It is God’s will that we prosper and be in perfect health. (3 John 1:2)
